VOTE FOR THE FAN
“CROWD FAVORITE” AWARD

Hey Minnesota RollerGirl fans! Here’s your chance to vote for the RollerGirl who makes you laugh, cry, cheer, and scream ‘til you can’t scream no more! Whether you love her for her screams, speed, or bad attitude on the rink or because she’s quietly vicious when she takes down an entire pack, she’s the RollerGirl you think deserves the prestigious title of “Crowd Favorite!”

We had a little technical problem with the first round of voting that allowed people to cast multiple votes. That’s been fixed and we’d like to ask you all to vote again if you voted before Wednesday, June 3. And please don’t be sneaky. We want this to be as real and true as our bouts are, and that means not fixed and all real baby! The deadline has been extended to June 15th.

Vote online now!

TRY OUT TO BE A MN ROLLERGIRL, JUNE 13TH!
That’s right, we’re adding to our rosters for next season. If you’re a 21+ girl with a passion for skating and a yearning to show your toughness, athletic ability, and sass, then you’re right for us. Tryouts will be held Monday, June 13th at Roy Wilkins auditorium. Only team captains and the training committee will be present for the tryouts and there will be equipment you can borrow. So suit up in your most RollerGirl appropriate garb (not required, it just looks cool) and come on down for your chance to be a part of the original and only skater-owned league in the state. Contact [email protected] for all the details.

CLASH OF THE TITANS RECAP
We know you want to relive the night, so here are the scores. For the first matchup of the Dagger Dolls vs. the Garda Belts, the Dagger Dolls pulled out another win at 80-78 in a pairing that was a nailbiter until the end. This leaves the Dagger Dolls with an undefeated record and the Golden Skate award! The Atomic Bombshells and Silver Bullets were back in a rematch of the last bout and this one came down to the last five seconds of the final jam. In the end, the Silver Bullets got their first win of the season with a score of 94-93. Thanks to our fans, to Faux Jean for halftime entertainment, to Swashbuckler and The Bleeding Hickeys for the after party at the Nomad Pub, and to all our volunteers for making the night possible with their hard work.

THE MINNESOTA ROLLERGIRLS’ INAUGURAL
SEASON IS OVER

Wow, what a season it was. To think that all of this was started by a few girls (our tireless Donnelly sisters shown at the left) back in September and to see what it became in such a short amount of time is truly amazing. Stay tuned for a summer schedule of events, next season’s bout schedule, and a very exciting announcement for next season. Tantalizing isn’t it?
