All-Stars Head to WFTDA Eastern Regional Tournament

To get our fourth season off to a hard-hitting start, we'll be hitting the road! The Ohio Rollergirls are hosting the WFTDA Eastern Regional Tournament in a little over a week on August 17-19. Your beloved Minnesota RollerGirls are sending their best-of-the-best All-Stars team to compete at the tournament, also dubbed Heartland Havoc.

The tournament will take place at Batelle Hall in the Columbus Convention Center. The All-Stars will be up against Division 1 and 2 leagues in the Eastern Region and the top four teams will advance to the WFTDA Championship Tournament in Austin, TX taking place September 29-30.

If you can make the trip to Columbus, it would be awesome to have some Minnesota fans in the crowd! Tickets can be purchased online. Single day tickets are $25 and weekend passes are just $50 for three full days of flat track derby action!

Help those affected by the collapse of the 35W bridge

When you count all the girls and volunteers, there are a whole lot of us in the Minnesota RollerGirls family. So when the I-35W bridge over the Mississippi collapsed last week, our thoughts turned to each other and we were relieved to find out that no one in the league was on the bridge. Many of us live and work near the bridge and we've been thinking of those who weren't as fortunate and wondering what we could do to help.

We're honored to be able to help those impacted by the loss of the bridge, whether they be the families of victims, rescue workers, or those who lived nearby and have to move. For the entire month of August, 50% of all merchandise sales will go directly to Minnesota Helps. So if you've been thinking about stocking up on some Minnesota RollerGirls merch for the start of the new season, there couldn't possibly be a better time.

Join us at the Pizza Luce Block Party

Head to the dunk tank for your chance to dunk a Minnesota RollerGirl! We'll be there and just generally hanging out and enjoying the shows. Come down, hang out, enjoy some 'za, and revel in the fun that is the city's best block party of the season.

Reserve your tickets for next season

We're taking reservations for next year's season, and it's gonna be a good one. We'll be having a bunch of visiting teams in the fall, but they'll be playing against our regular home teams this time around. In December, our all-star traveling team will hit the home track for some competitions against other all-star teams from around the country. Then from February - April, we'll have our four home teams battling it out for the Golden Skate. Who will the winner be? No one can say at this point, but we know there are a lot of win-hungry skaters out there and there'll even be a few fresh faces next season.
